Shodh
Product · Evidence Engine

Evidence is an object, not a footnote.

Every claim is a record with the source it came from. Where sources disagree, both sides survive.

Same metric, two credible sources
Official statistics4.2 million unitsApr–Mar
Industry association3.6 million unitsJan–Dec
Regulatory filing820 ktas filed
Company statement1,100 ktas announced

Neither number is quietly dropped, and the two are never averaged into one.

Claims cite retrieved URLs only

A URL cannot be remembered into existence. Uncited claims are discarded, not softened.

Sources carry a tier

Official filings, then financial and academic, then established press. Confidence is weighted by what supports it.

Disagreement is never averaged

Shodh explains the difference — period, geography, definition, method — or flags it unresolved.

Gaps are output too

Thin coverage, single-source claims and open contradictions are re-researched, then printed as unknowns.

In this layer
  • Claim extraction
  • Tier-weighted confidence
  • Same-metric clustering
  • Reconciliation by period and method
  • Coverage gap analysis
  • Unknowns printed

Citations are listed per claim; there are no inline claim markers in the prose yet.
